WHAT WORKED IN MAKERSPACES?
WHAT COULD'VE BEEN DONE BETTER?
HOW TO APPLY LESSONS LEARNED?
Applying the Lessons Learned from the Experts:
1. Start with your who. Look at who the makerspace will serve and design your space to meet their needs and interests.
2. Create your makerspace in a space that is open and conducive to collaboration, building, and experimenting.
3. Have clear expectations and guidelines for each piece of equipment and area in your makerspace.
4. Start small, begin with 1-2 spaces and add a few more after the initial spaces are running smoothly.
